The safety light curtain is mounted within the door gap. During the normal closing process of the door, the light beams of the light curtain are blocked in a sequential manner from top to bottom. The system interprets this sequential blocking as a regular door-closing operation. However, if an object passes underneath and obstructs the light beam while the door is closing, the door will open instantaneously.
When installed on both the interior and exterior sides of the door, and with the door in a closed state, the light beams do not pass through. In this configuration, regardless of which light beam within the light curtain is blocked, the system will immediately generate the door-opening signal.
